Charlie Sheen's Anger Management Green-lit For 90 Episode Boost

Charlie Sheen won't be leaving our screens just yet, as the bad boy actor's latest show Anger Management has been green-lit by network executives for another 90 episodes, on the back of the positively received first instalment of episodes.

This new boost will take the show up to 100 episodes, with the series ending in October 2014 should not be picked up again for even more episodes after that. Sheen will also be joined by his father, Martin Sheen, on a regular basis on the show, with the elder Sheen portraying. Charlie's on screen father. The two have appeared on a Charlie-starring show before, as Martin appeared as his mother's one time lover on Two and a Half Men prior to Charlie's well-publicised spat with the show's creator Chuck Lorre.

Network executives broke the news to New York Daily News that the show is due to be renewed for 90 more episode, citing the show's popularity with viewers and the average of 3.4 million viewers per episode - more than the amount required by the show's executives - as the key reasons. The show itself is based loosely on the 2003 movie of the same name that stars Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. It follows a former rage-addled former baseball player who is now seeking redemption as a therapist.
