Charlie Sheen To Become A Judge On 'American Idol'?
Charlie Sheen is the latest name to be put forward as a possible replacement judge on talent show American Idol.
The actor, who recently returned to TV in the FX comedy show 'Anger Management' for the first time since being fired from 'Two and a Half Men' last year (2011), has revealed that he is willing to take to the judging panel after executive producer of 'American Idol' Nigel Lythgoe made a jokey comment to TMZ about wanting to rope him in for the twelfth season. "If the numbers move the needle and 'Idol' matches 20 per cent of my weekly salary for [charities] Autism Speaks, JDRF, and the Boys and Girls Club... then the hell with it", Sheen said, according to the UK's Sun newspaper. And it looks as though there may be a chance since judge Steven Tyler announced he was quitting in order to focus more on his band Aerosmith. Jennifer Lopez is also said to be leaving the show.
As well as Sheen, other names that have been flying around as possible replacements include Adam Lambert, who admitted that he'd love the opportunity, and Mariah Carey whose husband, Nick Cannon, reckons the show couldn't possibly afford her. "I don't know if they can afford Mariah Carey. That's a lot of money. If they gave J-Lo $20 million, they might have to double that!", he told TMZ.
