Charlie Sheen's latest rant has led to CBS cancelling the current season of his sitcom 'Two and a Half Men'.
CHARLIE SHEEN's comments about producer CHUCK LORRE during a recent radio interview have resulted in CBS cancelling the current season of 'Two and a Half Men', reports BBC News. The 45-year-old actor, who recently entered rehabilitation for reported drug and alcohol abuse, phoned into 'The Alex Jones Show' to criticise the sitcom's producer. Sheen was angry at not being allowed back on set after his recent personal problems and insisted that he had embarrassed Lorre "in front of his children and the world by healing at a pace that his un-evolved mind cannot process". In light of his comments, CBS shut down production on the show and said the decision was based on the "totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition" adding that they will now "discontinue production of Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season". Shooting on the sitcom was initially scheduled to resume next week.
Shortly before beginning a program of rehabilitation, Sheen was admitted to hospital in Los Angeles with severe abdominal pains. In October 2010, the actor voluntarily underwent a psychiatric evaluation after causing a disturbance at the New York Plaza Hotel. Later in the interview, CHARLIE SHEEN spoke about his dislike for Alcoholics Anonymous and insisted, "I'm cured, I'm done", adding, "I'm gonna hang out with these two smoking hotties and fly privately around the world. It might be lonely up here but I sure like the view Alex".
