Chantelle Houghton is ''terrified'' of dying during childbirth.
The 28-year-old glamour model - who collapsed on Friday (16.03.12) while out shopping and was rushed to hospital on Wednesday (14.03.12) and put on a monitor for 24 hours - is ''terrified'' she will not live to hold her and fiance Alex Reid's daughter, who is due in 10 weeks.
The blonde beauty - who has an abnormally high heart rate - said: ''I worry that something will happen to me, that the baby will be born and I won't be here.
''The doctors said that when you're in labour your heart goes up even more and so I'm terrified of the whole thing.
''I also worry that I will go into labour early and then who knows what will happen.
''I want to have a natural birth, I don't want a Caesarean, but there is such a big fear that something could go wrong. I just want to hold my little girl and meet her.''
Chantelle never expected to fall pregnant after experiencing fertility problems caused by a teenage eating disorder, but she is now ''so worried'' that her stressful pregnancy will affect her baby.
She added to The People newspaper: ''I'm so ¬worried for my little girl. I fear so much for what is going on in her little body.
''There is so much stress being put on her. I can't believe it is ¬happening to my little baby.
''My fertility problems meant that I didn't think I could ever be a mum so I pray that she's going to be safe.
''Her heartbeat replicates mine and sometimes I think I'm going to die.
''She's my little miracle so she has got to be OK. I just feel so bad for what is happening.
''When I feel her kick it is the most amazing feeling.
''I just hope that she isn't undergoing any discomfort. The doctors don't think she is but I can't help but worry that she is.''
