Chantelle Houghton Gives Birth

Chantelle Houghton has given birth to her first child.

The reality TV star and her fiance Alex Reid celebrated the arrival of their daughter on Sunday (17.06.12) and both mother and daughter are ''doing well''.

Alex took to his twitter page to reveal the happy news, tweeting: ''I'm delighted to announce the arrival of my beautiful baby daughter early this morning. Both mother and baby doing well. X''

The 36-year-old cage fighter - who was previously married to Katie Price - was particularly delighted that his daughter was born on Father's Day.

He added in another tweet: ''This really is the most amazing day ever for the 3 of us. Life isn't good, it's great. I love my girls so much. Happy ecstatic fathers day! X (sic)''

The delighted couple are yet to reveal the name of the tot or any other details about the baby, including her birth weight.

Chantelle, 28, had only admitted a few weeks ago that she was ''petrified'' of giving birth and experiencing the pains of labour.

The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner said: ''I must admit, I'm petrified. I told the midwife I don't feel mentally prepared and she said, 'I've been worried about you because every time I mention the birth, you go all bleary-eyed and quiet!'

''My mum told me I was born within an hour, so I'm hoping my little girl takes after me and comes quickly!''
