Channing Tatum - Channing Tatum's Stripper Pals Angry Over 'Magic Mike'

It's no secret that Channing Tatum used to work as stripper before making the transition to Hollywood A-lister, though it looks as though his past might be coming back to haunt him. Two of his former stripping colleagues, Thomas Austin and London Steele tell Tmz.com that their former stage-mate has ripped off their personal stories for Steven Soderbergh's upcoming movie 'Magic Mike'.
Tatum has previously claimed the movie is based on his short-lived career as a stripper, when he went by the stage name of 'Chan Crawford'. He told Mtv News, "I did this for about eight months of my life, and I told [director Steven] Soderbergh about it, and he was just like, 'Look, we have to make this into a movie". However, Thomas Austin says the film's title 'Magic Mike' is actually a name he came up with for another dancer. The strippers also claim they taught Tatum some of the dance moves he uses in the film, including one particularly routine named 'The Hot Seat'. Austin continued to slam the Hollywood star, calling him an "amateur", and adding, "He only danced for four months. How many events could have happened to him?".
'Magic Mike' - which hits cinemas on June 29, 2012 - follows a male stripper who teaches a younger performer how to party, pick up women and make easy money. As well as Tatum, the movie also stars Alex Pettyfer, Olivia Munn and JOE MANGANIELLO.
