Cerys Matthews - Cerys Matthews' Elvis Souvenir Can't Be Licked

Welsh musician Cerys Matthews has a stomach-churning piece of rock memorabilia - recording studio equipment covered in Elvis Presley's saliva.
The former Catatonia frontwoman owns a section of wood panelling from a studio in Nashville, Tennessee, where The King recorded some of his biggest hits.
And she insists the artifact - a 'gobo' which was placed near Presley's mouth when he laid down vocals - is one of her most prized possessions.
Matthews tells Britain's Telegraph magazine, "I have a piece of a gobo from the Rca studio in Nashville where Elvis Presley recorded. It is covered in Elvis' spit. A gobo is a panel about seven or eight feet tall, sometimes with a window in it, which acts as a sound barrier in a recording studio. It separates the noise of different musicians, and prevents too much spillage down the microphones."
