Celebrity Surfers Warned About Great White Shark Sighting
The stars have been put on high alert after a great white shark, measuring between eight and 10 feet (2.4 to 3 metres) long, was recently snapped leaping out of the water off the California coast.
Surfer John Philbin, who appeared in Point Break alongside the late Patrick Swayze, tells People.com, "People are taking this seriously. It's kept more than a few people out of the water this week."
Actress Helen Hunt and Mad Men star John Slattery are also regulars on the stretch of beach.
