Cave Explains Jackson Snub

Rocker NICK CAVE has explained his refusal to pay tribute to MICHAEL JACKSON at a gig shortly after the superstar's death - insisting the King of Pop was so talented he made all other musicians look like "amateurs".
Cave took to the stage at Britain's legendary Glastonbury music festival just three days after the Thriller hitmaker passed away suddenly on 25 June (09).
Many artists spent the festival weekend preparing tributes to the late singer, but Cave stunned the audience by completely ignoring Jackson's death when he took to the stage - instead dedicating his set to actress Farrah Fawcett, who died the same day.
Cave is adamant he didn't mean to snub Jackson - he simply found it difficult to express his feelings at the loss of such an iconic performer.
He tells Britain's Q magazine, "I'm a huge Michael Jackson fan. But as a performer he was a problem for all of us, and in all due respect it's good he's gone because he made us all feel like we had lead in out boots. Something about him made everyone else look like amateurs. But I felt sad for Farrah Fawcett dying in the same week."

Did I understand it right? It was good for MJ to go because he made everybody else seem amature? So are they going to look better or be his replacement that now he has gone? For Cave to say what he said was good expression of his feelings but on the other side it seem like a jel******s thing! In fact now that the focus is most at MJ than ever, they will look even more amature than before. In my opinion, it would be good for MJ to continue living as at least the gap would not be so felt. Lol MJ!

I agree with you Jaqulin. There will never be another Michael Jackson. He truly was heaven sent. I look at all these other musicians, singers, entertainers whatever & there is no comparison. They must see it themselves. He will always be the greatest. Forever MJ!

Nick Cave, I can't believe you made this statement"IT'S GOOD HE'S GONE, because he made us all feel like we had lead in out boots." First of all you need to speak for yourself. Second of all you are not only an ARMATURE but you are also an ASS-HOLE for making such a depraved statement. In your state of "JEALOUSLY" and yes, that is what you are experiencing "PURE JEALOUSLY". You have overlooked the fact that Michael Jackson worked hard from an early age to achieve what he accomplished, his hard work coupled with natural talent was a mixture for the type of success you, Nick is envious of. you are so ENVIOUS AND JEALOUS you couldn't even think of his children losing a Father, his Mother losing her Son, his Siblings losing their Brother and the world losing the "Greatest Entertainer" of all, when you made such a senseless statement? Let's not talk about the orphans who also lost their only Father in Michael Jackson. But let's face it, you believe that since he is gone you can now take his place, fat chance AMATEUR, NO ONE WILL EVER ACCOMPLISH WHAT MICHAEL JACKSON ACCOMPLISHED IT'S IMPOSSIBLE, HE WAS TALENTED IN EVERYTHING HE DID. I would advise you to start imitating Michael in attitude, he was a loving, compassionate, kind person and you say it's good he's gone? What does that say about the type of person you are? R.I.P. Prince Charming, I will continue to defend you against "UNINTELLIGENT, INSENSITIVE FOOLS" like Nick Cave.

You're were so jealous of MJ that your true feelings are surfacing....and the sad part about your rave is that I don't believe you are aware of it. MJ was great as others have stated before me because he worked hard to improve upon a natural gift from God. He did not envy others or wish evil to them but offered help and support to others in his field as well as those in need around the world. He had a big heart and untouchable talent. This is what made him a SUPERSTAR AND KING OF POP!! There will never be another one. I had never heard of you before this mean statement and I can prophesy that this how your career will end. MJ said it better, "Beat It."
