Catherine Zeta Jones is sick of talking about bipolar disorder
Catherine Zeta Jones is ''sick'' of people asking her about her bipolar disorder.
The 43-year-old actress - who has publicly spoken about her condition since being treated at a mental health clinic last April for depression following her husband Michael Douglas's cancer battle - insists she's not a victim of the disorder.
She told ABC's 'Good Morning America': ''You know what? I'm sick of talking about it because I never wanted to be the poster child for this. I never wanted this to come out publicly. It came out.
''I dealt with it in the best way I could and that was just saying that, 'Look, hey, I'm bipolar'. Everyone has things going on and we're doing the best we can.
''We can't jump from the rooftops shouting about, 'I have this, look at me, victim' - no. We all have issues in life and I'm really happy I have great friends, great support and that's all I can do.''
The star told InStyle magazine earlier this month about how her diagnosis has made her appreciate life more than she used to.
She said: ''It's been an intense time, in good ways and bad.
''You find out who you really are and who you are married to. You find things inside yourself you never imagined were there.
''I've gained an appreciation for little things, like tea outside on a terrace and a beautiful afternoon like this.''
