Catherine Zeta-jones Backs Farm Appeal
The Chicago star wants officials at Britain's National Trust to acquire the 600-acre Llyndy Isaf property in picturesque Snowdonia so they can preserve the site, which is home to threatened wildlife species.
She says, "The National Trust plays a key role in protecting and managing the Welsh countryside. The beauty and landscape of Snowdonia is truly unique and we have a once in a lifetime opportunity to protect Llyndy Isaf in this stunning part of Wales for future generations.
"If we don't act now the threat of commercial development could spoil the tranquillity of this special part of Snowdonia."
Actor Matthew Rhys has also appealed for help in raising funds to buy the farm, while $800,000 (£500,000) has already been donated to the cause.
