Cat Deeley's New Show Faces The Axe
Deeley's show went up against 'Britains Got Talent', which still managed to attract 10.4 million viewers despite Simon Cowell's absence from this year's judging panel. Bbc bosses are now hoping 'So You Think You Can Dance' will fare better this weekend when it its aired immediately after the new series of Doctor Who. The show, which features Louise Redknapp, Arlene Phillips and Nigel Lythgoe, has been a huge success in the U.S, where it is also hosted by Deeley. A source told the Daily Mirror, "It looks as though viewers have got bored of So You Think You Can Dance, which has gone into freefall in terms of viewing figures. Producers are struggling to halt the decline, and senior bosses have lost patience with the format. It's unlikely there'll be another series".
Cat Deeley, who has become a recognisable face on U.S. television in recent years, is currently hosting the American special 'Royally Mad'. The show sees the presenter taking audiences on a tour of "all things royal" including locations central to the wedding of Price William and KATE MIDDLETON.
