Jason triumphed on the night, winning six awards including Artist of the Year and Record of the Year for his track 'My Kinda Party'.

Collecting one of his later awards, he told the crowd: "This is getting a little ridiculous now. I don't know what else to say. It's been a crazy year!"

Carrie was the highest coring girl, taking home trophies for Female Artist of the Year, while her track 'Mama's Song' took home Single of the Year, Female Artist and Music Video, Female Artist.

Blake won both Music Video of the Year and Music Video, Male Artist for his track 'Who Are You When I'm Not Looking' which he dedicated to his father, Dick, who is in the hospital with pneumonia.

He told the audience: "I want to say 'hi' to my dad back home. He's been having a pretty rough couple of weeks. I know he's watching back at home and I love you, dad, and want to dedicate this to you."

He then appeared to get a little teary eyed as he performed 'God Gave Me You'.
