Carrie Underwood - Carrie Underwood Throws Support Behind Gay Marriage
Carrie Underwood is the latest celebrity to come out in support of same-sex marriage admitting she ''can't imagine'' how people must feel to be told they are not allowed to tie the know with certain individuals.
Carrie Underwood has come out in support of same-sex marriage.
The 29-year-old singer - who is married to ice hockey player Mike Fisher - thinks people should be able to tie the knot with whoever they like rather than being told who they can marry.
She told the Independent newspaper: ''As a married person myself, I don't know what it's like to be told I can't marry somebody I love, and want to marry.
''I can't imagine how that must feel. I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love.''
Carrie - who was raised as Baptist but now worships in a non-denomination congregation with Mike - is the latest celebrity to come out in support of same-sex marriage after Jay-Z, The Wanted, and 'Jersey Shore' pair Snooki and JWoww also voiced similar opinions.
The blonde beauty added: ''Our church is gay friendly. Above all, God wanted us to love others. It's not about setting rules, or saying, 'Everyone has to be like me'. No. We're all different. That's what makes us special. We have to love each other and get on with each other. It's not up to me to judge anybody.''
