Carrie Fisher - Carrie Fisher Becomes Face Of Weight Loss Company
CARRIE FISHER, the American actress best known for playing the STAR WARS character 'Princess Leia', has acknowledged that she has a weight issue after being named the spokesperson for diet organisation 'Jenny Craig', reports the UK's Daily Mail. The 54-year-old admits that she turned to junk food after her father EDDIE FISHER died last September.
After being unveiled as the new spokesperson for the company, Fisher will now take the diet programme herself and admitted, "I'm fat. All the clothes in my closet belong to another chick. They have to make a new alphabet for my bra size". The actress weighed just 105lbs during the filming of STAR WARS but she admits to gaining weight three years ago after going on the road for her one-woman show 'Wishful Drinking', saying, "I would just graze, but I didn't do it healthy - it was like putting on the feed bag". Fisher says that her decision to sign up as the face of 'Jenny Craig' was partly influenced by reading comments from bloggers, she said, "I look on the Internet and they say, 'Whatever happened to Carrie Fisher? She used to be so hot and now she looks like Elton John. I was really hurt".
Fisher's made an EMMY AWARD nominated guest-appearance on the sitcom '30 Rock' back in 2007 and she appeared in the seventh season of hit US show 'Entourage' last summer.
