Carly Rae Jepsen - Carly Rae Jepsen Reports Stolen Nude Photos To Police
It may well be the most hectic week of Carly Rae Jepsen 's short career. The young breakout star initially laughed off claims on Twitter that a sex-tape of her was circulating the internet, though just 24hrs later it emerged that she reported stolen nude photos of herself to police, reports Tmz.com.
Sources say the explicit photos were stolen by a hacker from her computer and have been touted around numerous media outlets. The Canadian singer is desperately trying to retrieve the images, after reporting the theft to the Vancouver Police Department's cybercrime department. Jepsen's camp reportedly received an anonymous tip that the photographs had been stolen back in March, with cops immediately jumping on the case. A representative for the Vancouver Police Department told Tmz.com that an active investigation is underway "in regards to a theft of electronic property belonging to Jepsen". Insiders say police already have a potential suspect line-up, with the perpetrator facing serious charges including criminal harassment and unauthorized access of a computer.
A man who hacked the email accounts of Scarlett Johansson and Christina Aguilera last year has been forced to pay a total of $150,000 in compensations to the victims, according to the Los Angeles Times. Christopher Chaney will also serve 71 months in prison on nine counts of computer hacking.
