Carey Mulligan Worried About Walking

Carey Mulligan gets mistaken for a prostitute in Los Angeles.

The 'An Education' actress admits she feels much more at ease in New York because it easier to walk around the city without looking suspicious.

She said: "You can spend an entire day walking around in New York, whereas in Los Angeles, it always ends at some point because you have to find a way to get home.

"If you're walking down the street in Los Angeles, people do sort of look at you like you're a hooker because it's so rare to see someone just walking."

The British actress - who is dating her 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps' co-star Shia LaBeouf - enjoyed her time in New York while working on different projects so much, she is even considering relocating there.

She added to Interview magazine: "I love New York. I think I could live in New York. The first time I was there for an extended period of time was a couple of years ago when we shot 'The Greatest', and then I did the play 'The Seagull' the following summer. I came back last fall to do 'Wall Street'. But I love New York - maybe more than Los Angeles or London. I think I'm happiest in New York."
