Carey Mulligan Lacks Movie Knowledge
Carey Mulligan admits that despite being an Oscar-nominated actress she has seen very few films.
Carey Mulligan knows nothing about films.
The Oscar-nominated star realised she knew nothing about cinema when she went to Los Angeles and is now trying to learn about the movie world.
She said: "I'm seriously trying to educated myself. When I started coming to Los Angeles I realised how few films I'd actually seen.
"I'd get into a conversation with some producer or director and they'd go, 'Well you know that scene in 'Scarface.' and I'd go, 'Yeah!' And that was b*****ks because I'd not seen it."
The 24-year-old actress also admits she was star-struck when she met director Quentin Tarantino and he knew her for her portrayal of schoolgirl Jenny in 'An Education'.
She told Total Film magazine: "After the Golden Globes, Quentin Tarantino came up to me and started talking to me and recounted frame-by-frame a scene from 'An Education'.
"I didn't know what to say to him. It was the kindest, nicest, biggest feeling. But my life has not changed, except for the quality of the roles I get offered."
Carey began her acting career in 2005's 'Pride and Prejudice' alongside Keira Knightley, and is rumoured to be playing Eliza Doolittle in a 2012 version of George Bernard Shaw's play 'My Fair Lady'.
