The Captain America sequel has stunned movie experts in America by opening with more than $10 million (Gbp6.25 million) in ticket sales from early screenings on Thursday night (03Apr14).
The blockbuster's first-night success surpassed that of last year's (13) Man of Steel and Thor: The Dark World - and now many film buffs are expecting Captain America: The Winter Soldier to sail past $100 million (Gbp62.5 million) in America this weekend.
The sequel is well on course to become the biggest April opening ever.
