Cale: 'No Plans For Velvet Underground Reunion'
Reed and Tucker recently joined forces for a public chat about their music and art at the New York Public Library, prompting speculation about a Velvet Underground reunion.
But Cale insists that's unlikely.
He says, "It’s not something that I can see happening."
The group's last reunion in the early 1990s ended badly when Cale and Reed fell out.
Cale tells the BBC, "Whatever the Velvet Underground did they’ve done, and it’s in the past. I respect that people admire what we did, that’s gratifying, but I’m in such a different place with what I think songwriting is these days."
