Baseball legend Cal Ripken, Jr.'s mother was threatened at gunpoint on Tuesday (15Oct13), a year after she was abducted in Baltimore, Maryland.
Vi Ripken, 75, was leaving a bank when she was confronted by a gun-wielding man, who demanded she hand over the keys to her car, local police tell Tmz.com.
Luckily, she was able to press the panic button on her vehicle, and the man fled, leaving her unharmed. A suspect was later apprehended by police.
Last July (12), Ripken was kidnapped outside her home by a man who forced her into her car, and she was not discovered until the following morning.
