Cage Done With Dark Films

The Oscar-winning Leaving Las Vegas star has become famous in Hollywood for taking on more eccentric roles, but he recently traded in his bad boy image to star in Disney action adventure The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Cage admits he's ready to give up darker roles for good for the sake of his son Kal-El and he hopes his more family-orientated movies will help to bring other parents closer to their kids too.

He says, "I really believe it's one of the better ways I can apply myself as a film actor... Somebody once said to me that world peace begins at home and in my own little way if I can give families a ritual something to look forward to sharing with their children, even if it's only for a day, they have a smile on their face maybe they don't do something angry later in life."
