Button Remains On Top Of Global Box Office
BRAD PITT's THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON has kept its place at the top of the box office charts outside the U.S., with weekend takings of $31 million (£22 million) in 53 markets.
The films, which tells the story of a man who ages backwards, debuted at number one in Italy, South Korea and Taiwan to enjoy a second consecutive week atop the international charts.
Disney animated movie Bolt took the second spot, garnering $16.5 million (£11.6 million) from 38 territories, while Valkyrie came in third with $11.9 million (£8.4 million) in 55 markets.
Romantic comedy He's Just Not That Into You took the fourth spot with takings of $11.4 million (£8 million) in 16 markets.
Horror film remake Friday the 13th rounded out the top five, grabbing $10.4 million (£7.3 million) in 30 territories.
