Busta Rhymes Dismisses Rumours Of Bet Awards Afterparty Fight
Rapper Busta Rhymes has cleared up rumours he became embroiled in a heated altercation with a New York radio DJ following Sunday's (01Jul12) Bet Awards in Los Angeles, insisting it was just a "discussion".
The Touch It hitmaker confronted Charlamagne Tha God at the awards afterparty over a 2004 radio interview the DJ and his former mentor Wendy Williams had conducted with his ex-girlfriend Joanne Wood, the mother of his three children.
Reports suggest the run-in turned physical, but Busta insists there was no violence involved and the two men were simply talking.
He says, "It was a discussion. I'm not putting my hands on nobody (sic) because my kids need that bread (money) all the time, and I love my family more than everything. We had a discussion, that's it. None of that (violence). Absolutely, none of that."
