Incarcerated reggae star Buju Banton has lost his appeal against his conviction on drug charges.
The Jamaican hitmaker was sentenced to serve 10 years behind bars in June, 2011 after he was found guilty of allegedly planning a cocaine deal in 2009.
It was the second trial in the case - a previous attempt to prosecute Banton in 2010 ended in a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
Banton's attorney filed a request for a new trial in Florida last year (11), claiming his client was the subject of entrapment by a federal informant who hounded the singer, but the motion was denied on Tuesday (07Aug12).
