France's first lady CARLA BRUNI-SARKOZY has donated $360,000 (£240,000) from the profits of her latest album to help a school in Haiti.
The former model released her third record Comme Si De Rien N'etait last summer (08) and vowed to give all the income from sales to charity.
And she has followed through with her pledge, handing officials in Haiti a cheque for $360,000 to aid a learning facility that was destroyed by a mudslide.
She says, "I can't do much against global poverty or injustice, but I can give money. I was able to hand over the first payment of 280,000 Euros to a school in Haiti that had been wiped out by a tide of mud."
A sleekly made thriller with a sparky sense of humour, this is also a rare action movie that has something important to say.
