Bruni 'Axes Louvre Gig'
A Paris concert which was set to feature MIKA and CHARLOTTE GAINSBOURG has reportedly been axed by France's First Lady CARLA BRUNI.
Organisers were said to have secured the singers, as well as rock bands Phoenix and Vampire Weekend, to play the first open-air gig in the courtyard of the city's famed Louvre art gallery.
But Bruni has cancelled the event, fearing the show would distract from another concert raising money for AIDS charities, which will be held later that same month (Jun10) in the French capital, according to the country's Le Canard Enchaine newspaper.
Bruni, who is married to French President Nicolas Sarkozy, is an official AIDS ambassador for the United Nations.
