17 February 2013Bruce Willis is back at the top of the U.S. box office with his latest Die Hard movie.
A Good Day to Die Hard narrowly beat out romance Safe Haven and comedy Identity Thief with a Presidents Day weekend (16-17Feb13) take of $25 million (£15.6 million), pushing its five-day domestic debut to $38.3 million (£24 million).
The new Die Hard film has made $113.3 million (£87 million) globally.
R-rated comedy Identity Thief comes in second in its second weekend on release, while the movie adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' Safe Haven is third.
Newly-released animated 3D family film Escape From Planet Earth comes in fourth with a $16 million (£10 million) three-day take.
Nicholas Hoult's zombie movie Warm Bodies rounds up the top five in final place with takings of $9 million (£5.8 million).
