Bruce Willis and Billy Murray received a rapturous reception at the Cannes Film Festival last night (16.05.12).
The pair were joined by a bevy beauties including Eva Longoria, Diane Kruger, Lana Del Rey, Tilda Swinton and Diane Kruger as they walked the red carpet for the premiere of Wes Anderson's 'Moonrise Kingdom' on the first night of the festival.
Bill was full of praise for his co-star Bruce, and admitted the motion picture ''wouldn't have worked without him''.
He is quoted by USA Today as saying: ''For him to play the part of a town cop in a one-cop town, it was fun.
''He has a 'Die Hard' moment, which made me laugh so hard. It wouldn't have worked without him. We could have gotten the Muscles from Brussels [Jean-Claude Van Damme]. But it wouldn't have been the same.''
Bill revealed he gets on well with Wes after starring in a number of films that he has directed, and he joked that he never wants the helmer to simply drive him to the airport and never see him again.
He quipped: ''Sometimes when you work with a director you hope you never see them again. And that goes for the director as well. They drive you to the airport. Wes has never driven me to the airport.''
