Bruce Springsteen Exhibit To Open In Philadelphia
The Born in the U.S.A. singer has long been referred to as one of America's most iconic and patriotic stars and now he's set to be honoured with a display at The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.
From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen will celebrate the musician's long career and feature a variety of memorabilia including hand-written set lists and clothing.
An executive at the centre, David Eisner, tells the Wall Street Journal, "No other artist is as steeped in Americana or has better told the story of the American dream than Bruce Springsteen. He’s the perfect artist for a centre devoted to the robust discussion of American values to feature."
The collection will run until 3 September (12).
Springsteen has musical links to the city - he recorded Streets of Philadelphia, the haunting theme to Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington's hit 1993 movie Philadelphia.
