Brown's Widow Rocks On At Metal Skool Show
JAMES BROWN's widow TOMI RAE HYNIE stunned fans of rock act METAL SKOOL at the tribute group's weekly Los Angeles showcase last week (22JAN07) when she joined them onstage for a song.
Hynie, who is contesting her late husband's will after discovering she and her five-year-old son have been left out, waded to the front of the crowd at the Key Club and then leapt onto the stage.
As security staff gathered, fearing the red head was about to misbehave, Metal Skool's manager stepped forward to identify the special guest, who then performed GUNS N' ROSES tune MR BROWNSTONE with the 80s rock covers band.
Audience member JASON FISHER says, "No one knew who she was when she got onstage. Even the band weren't sure who she was.
"I know Tomi Rae has a lot going on in her personal life right now, but she was out to have a good time."
Hynie, who fronts her own band, is one of many celebrities to join Metal Skool onstage - in recent months KELLY CLARKSON, RYAN CABRERA and LINKIN PARK's CHESTER BENNINGTON have performed with the metal act, while LISA MARIE PRESLEY and PARIS HILTON have showed up at their weekly concerts.
