Brown Calls For U.k. Kids To Study Rap Films

Former Stone Roses star Ian Brown has urged teachers in Britain's inner-cities to show the biographical films of Eminem, 50 Cent and the NOTORIOUS B.I.G. to their students - because they prove working class kids can do great things.

The singer took his son to see Notorious earlier this year (09) and found the film about slain rapper Christopher Wallace to be "inspirational", and now he wants others to study the movie.

He tells Britain's Mojo magazine, "I think all kids should be made to watch the Biggie Smalls film (Notorious), the Eminem story (8 Mile) and the 50 Cent film (Get Rich or Die Tryin').

"There's not enough about working class kids getting on in life, the working class got cut out of history, and we can't let that happen.

"I met Biggie Smalls in September 1995 and it was mega (amazing). He was like something out of the Bible, talking in parables, and he looked like an old '20s jazz star. Some days I have to pinch myself that I met him."

Rap music is good but the kids need to be educate not just rap but everything like rock&roll stay in school also some rap no good for them they will start thinking bad stuff robbing people not stay in school only person that is there for kids is eminem he came along way for just being white that I give eminem love. other rappers just no good always into trouble not good for kids thinking that bad things would happen to them Thats what I think parents should be parents watch their kids take care of them ..... all I have to say about that .....
