Brown: 'Bet Awards Jackson Tribute Was The Ultimate Apology'

Disgraced R&B star CHRIS BROWN has spoken out about his emotional MICHAEL JACKSON tribute at the recent BET Awards, insisting the performance was his "ultimate apology" for letting fans down by attacking former girlfriend RIHANNA.
The Kiss, Kiss hitmaker was convicted of assault and ordered to stay away from his ex after confessing he beat her during a heated fight on the eve of the 2009 Grammy Awards.
He has publicly apologised for his actions online and on TV many times, but he admits the BET Awards nod to Jackson, during which he broke down and sobbed, was the moment his past problems really hit home.
Speaking on TV show 106 & Park on Tuesday (24Aug10), Brown said, "When I heard (Jackson song) Man In The Mirror, it just touched me. It wasn't fake. I know people were trying to put extras on it, but everything was genuine. That was my ultimate apology, hands down."
And there was one other thing that made the performance an emotional one: "A lot of people don't know, I was going to see Michael Jackson the day he died. I was on my way to the Staples Center (in Los Angeles) that day."

YES CHRIS@!!!!! We know the mediaLOID is trying to DESTROY you like they did to Michael. NEVER let them see you broken again. I know you felt pain for Michael's death & for the mistakes you made with Rihanna. Let it go, leave it behind you, move forward. The mediaLOID was not in your relationship and they do NOT know what happened. They have no right to judge just like they had no right to judge Michael. They are jealous & evil. Besides, Rihanna's career is fading. She is not as loved as they make people think. Stay strong.

Yes Chris you were dead wrong, but you appologized enough already. We all make mistakes, just make sure you get the help that you need & don't repeat those same mistakes. Live your life & do you. Your true fans still love you & forgive you. As far as your performance, you've been in the business long enough to know that you continue reguardless what happens. It did look fake to me. Just forgive yourself & move on. Be the success that you once were.

This story is so sad to think he was actually going over to see Michael when he died.I must be terrible for the people that knew him on a more personal and professional basis.Like the performers that were working with him for the O2 This Is It concert...One wonders whether he was really fit enough to go through with this and illness set in to help his death along as well as these doctors and what they were prescribing.I know he was quite thin when you saw the footage of This Is It as against 4 years before at the 2006 Awards in London, although saying that people do change in 4 years...I just hope they will get to the bottom of this soon as it is very frustrating for both fans as well as family members...Sorry for getting off the point but I do think the Brown is an amazing performer too and MJ was a great inspiration to him as well as others.Bediveare...

Chris, you have nothing to apologize for, God forgave you so who are we to judge. I know you were special to Michael Jackson, some of the videos I have seen of him you were always there behind the scenes, I love you for that. I don't care what you have done. you cant live under condemnation, forgive, and go on with your life.
