Brooks Honoured With Song Tribute From U.s. Politicians
Brooks was in Washington, D.C. to attend the Grammys on the Hill Awards ceremony, where he was honoured for his career achievements.
But he received an unusual tribute from a group of congressmen, including John Conyers, Darrell Issa, Paul Hodes on guitar and Sheila Jackson Lee on tambourine, who formed a makeshift band to perform the song for Brooks.
Oscar-winning songwriter Paul Williams, who hosted the ceremony, also joined in the sing-a-long, as well as top producer Jimmy Jam and reporter/country singer Bob Schieffer.
