Britney Booze Ban: Leaked Hotel Rider Makes For Interesting Reading

Heard of the great Britney booze ban? Well, fans of the X Factor star shouldn’t worry too much, because it’s her doing the outlawing – though is it for her own benefit? According to US Weekly magazine, Britney Spears has requested that hotel staff remove all alcohol from her room before she arrives.

A leaked hotel ride for her 33-year-old pop superstar reads, “Very important: We require you to empty the minibars of all alcohol…And no gifts of wine or any other alcoholic beverages, please.” It’s not the only thing that Britney is putting a stop to while working on The X Factor either, with a source telling the UK’s Daily Mail, “Britney has stipulated that none of the backstage staff working with her are too pretty or stylish.” Now, we can probably just about believe the alcohol thing, but this?

Anyway, one X-Factor judge who definitely will require a strong drink today is head honcho Simon Cowell, especially when he sees the ratings for season two. Remember when Fox shelled out $15 million to land Britney Spears in an attempt to boost their flagging viewer figures? Well, it premiered 32 per cent down on last year’s ratings and perhaps more worrying for Cowell, 42 per cent behind NBC rival ‘The Voice’, which nabbed 10.7 million viewers. Ouch.
