Britain's Godiva Festival Axed After Downpour
A British festival set to feature performances by rockers Echo & The Bunnymen and The View has been cancelled after torrential rain flooded the site.
The 15th annual Godiva Festival in Coventry was due to kick off on Friday (29Jun12) but organisers called off the outdoor event after the grounds were deemed unsafe.
A statement on the festival's website reads, "We're really sorry but (we were) finally beaten by devastating weather... More details to come."
The Pigeon Detectives, Space, Cast and a host of local acts were set to take to the stage at the three-day festival.
