Bristol Palin - Bristol Palin Could Win Dancing With The Stars Says Smirnoff

BRISTOL PALIN could be crowned the winner of DANCING WITH THE STARS tonight (23rd November 2010) according to dance professional KARINA SMIRNOFF. The 20-year-old daughter of SARAH PALIN once again finished bottom of the leader-board following last night's performances, but the public vote has seen her pull through in recent weeks.
Speaking to E! Online, Smirnoff said, "I think she could totally win", before adding, "I mean, I really don't think Dancing With the Stars, a show on television, a reality show about people that are supposed to learn how to dance, goes as far as a big Tea Party Conspiracy", referring to speculation that votes for Palin could be politically motivated. Palin received scores of 27 and 25 from the judges for her two routines last night, however, fellow finalist JENNIFER GREY scored two perfect 10's. The possibility of Palin winning the competition has outraged some of the show's die-hard supporters, but Smirnoff says it wouldn't be a big deal, adding, "I think we have better problems in this country to deal with than Bristol Palin winning the show, with all due respect".
Viewers will discover who has won this year's DANCING WITH THE STARS on the hit ABC show tonight, and Palin and Grey will be battling it out with the Disney star KYLE MASSEY.

I can't understand why the judges gave Bristol such high scores...compared to Kayle and Jennifer, Bristol should have been scored much lower. Len gave Bristol the same rating that he gave Kayle in the Free Style. There is no way that she deserved the score of 9 by Len. She was stiff and moved like a wooden maniquin, Kayle was loose and very intertaing. However I think that Jennifer was the best of the group. Jennifer and Derek were by far the best dancers of the evening. When the judges have lost integrity the show becomes a joke to all of us who like to watch great dancing..Bristol certainly did not measure up to what the panel scored her.

This shouldn't surprise anyone but those who really think DWTS is all about dancing. This is as much a popularity contest as it is a dancing competition and in the end he/she who has the greatest circle of influence wins. Palin has survived for a variety of reasons none more apparent than the unprecedented vitriol of the left who hate her mother and have trashed Bristol for no other reason than she is Sarah's daughter. People are voting for Bristol because they feel sorry for her and that's not a bad thing.

this is so important's picture

this is so important

Consioder this show, it's about celebrities dancing with professionals and seeing how people react to them as well as how their dancing evolves over time. Remember Jerry Springer? How long did he stay? The judges determine how well a person performs the dance, not in comparison to someone else otherwise there would be no objectivity. It's the same in beauty pagents, diving competitions, gymnastics, etc. As this show is a form of entertainment, the format is to have viewer participation, i.e. American Idol, etc. and there the popularity factor plays a role. America made Bristol a celebrity, because it made a big deal of a Vice-President's daughter giving birth to a child out of wedlock. BFD. Now the detractors say moronic things like, "she's not a star." It's perposterous. Oh and then, "the Tea Party is voting her in", like that's all the Tea Party people do is wait to vote on DWTS. If she wins it will be due to popularity and that's fine because that's how the competition goes. I don't watch and I don't vote - I flip over when I'm watching House :-)

Bristol isn't winning on merits, she is only winning because of her name. Sarah must have rigged it so that the tramp would win.

BTW, Bristol Palin is NOT a "Vice President's daughter", so please get your facts straight. Her mother, Sarah Palin, was NOT elected to the office of Vice President (Thank you God!) . Therefore, Bristol Palin is not a Vice President's daughter. Doh!
