Bratt's Secret Battle With Disabled Daughter
The actor and his wife, Talisa Soto, shunned the opportunity to share their daughter Sophia's plight with the world, choosing instead to help her adjust to a normal life in private.
But the former Law + Order star confesses the tot's early years were tough, as they struggled with the difficulties of Sophia's disability.
He says, "What my wife and I faced as parents was like being in a tunnel of darkness for the first few years of her life, because we didn't know what to do. But we educated ourselves, and assembled the best team of therapists we could."
Bratt, who also has a two-year-old son, called Mateo, insists Sophia is overcoming her disability, adding, "Sophia has blown us away with the amount of progress she's made. She understands everything and she's quick to laugh, she's loving and a physically beautiful child.
