Brandon Flowers - Brandon Flowers Won't Leave Las Vegas
Brandon Flowers has no intention of quitting Las Vegas and moving to a new city with his family because he has a spiritual connection to the gambling mecca.
Brandon Flowers won't leave Las Vegas as he is gripped by a ''weird fear'' about what could happen if he moves.
The 'Mr. Brightside' singer grew up in the city, which is famous for its' casinos and readily available vices, and now lives there with his wife Tana and their three sons Ammon, five, Gunnar, three, and 18-month-old Henry.
Although he is teetotal and a non-gambler, Brandon has no intention of moving to another American city because he feels he has a spiritual connection to Las Vegas.
He said: ''I'm gripped by some weird fear. I'm so attached to it, I feel like I would lose some part of my identity.
The 31-year-old musician also believes life in 'Sin City' prepares him for life on the road with The Killers.
In an interview with ShortList magazine, he explained: ''Even if your family wasn't doing it you knew about the hookers and strip clubs. I get that there's a bunch of musicians they say go there to die, and people are losing their money - I think my brain bypasses on that. I thrive off the energy of that gold rush, the idea of people coming there for that and the neon stuff.''
Although he has never fallen into the pitfalls of fame, Brandon admits his ego was affected by the group's early success.
He admitted: ''The ego thing was somewhat real, but it was a little bit of a facade, a little bit of a front for how insecure I felt.''
The Killers release their fourth studio album 'Battle Born' later this month.
