Russell Brand - Brand 'Deported From Japan'

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star had jetted to the country with the I Kissed a Girl hitmaker's tour entourage but was allegedly held by immigration officials and subsequently expelled from Japan due to prior criminal offences from more than a decade ago.

An angry Perry took to her Twitter.com blog to tell fans of Brand's deportation, writing, "My husband just got deported from Japan. I am so sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place #tokyodreamscrushed.

"It was for priors from over 10 years ago!... But of Course I (love) my Japanese fans & the show #Mustgoon no matter the daily aftershocks or husband kidnappings!"

Brand is open about his past issues with drugs and run-ins with the law at the height of his addiction. He was also arrested last September (10) over a clash with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport.
