Bradley Cooper - Bradley Cooper To Star In The Crow Remake?

Bradley Cooper - The 36-year-old American actor Bradley Cooper is reportedly in talks to star in an upcoming remake of the 'The Crow'. Bradley Cooper is being eyed to portray the supernatural crime fighter in director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo's adaptation of the cult comic book.
The actor, who recently completed work on 'The Hangover Part II', would play 'Eric Draven', a rock musician who is murdered while trying to save his wife from attackers. Draven is resurrected shortly after and seeks vengeance on his killers. Brandon Lee starred as the crime-fighter in the popular 1994 film adaptation, but he tragically died on set after being accidently shot by a prop gun. The new movie appears to be a priority for Relativity Media, who have already confirmed that Edward R. Pressman, Jeff Most and Ryan Kavanaugh will produce. Mark Wahlberg was initially in the running to play Draven but talks fell through for unknown reasons.
If Bradley Cooper signs on for the project, production is expected to begin by the fall with a release date tentatively scheduled for late 2012.

1. The Crow was not a crimefighter- he was out for revenge.2. Bradley Cooper as the Crow is almost as bad an idea as Edward Furlong...3. If for some reason this movie is made, it likely will barely even resemble J.O'Barr's original story- which was FAR BETTER than the original glammed up hollywood version they turned into a movie.4. Who looks at Bradley Cooper and thinks "Punk rock star?"5. If the new Crow is able to heal his wounds like in all the other movies- this movie will suck.

I agree with Nick. This can't be good. Hollywood needs to stop messing with remakes and come up with original ideas. I loved this film with Brandon in it. Redoing it with Cooper would be insulting to his memory. And by the way, I thought in the movie, the woman was his girlfriend/fiance, not wife....

I agree this is a horrible idea. The Crow is my favorite movie of all time, and this would be a disgrace to Brandon Lee's legacy. Plus weren't all the other movies and tv shows bad enough to deal with? The orginal was a glamed up version on the comic series, and this movie will be a bigger hack than all the other remakes that have been poping up.
