Bradley Cooper - Bradley Cooper Confirms Paradise Lost Lucifer Role

Bradley Cooper will play Lucifer in 'Paradise Lost'.

The 'Hangover' actor is set to take on the dark role in a film adaptation of John Milton's 17th century poem, in which the evil archangel wars with heavenly forces and tempts biblical figures Adam and Eve from God's path, leading to their expulsion from paradise.

He confirmed to the Huffington Post: "Paradise Lost, that seems like the realest one. That's happening."

The movie is being directed by Alex Proyas and has had a number of writers working on the script, including Stuart Hazeldine, Lawrence Kasdan and Ryan Condal.

Filming will take place in Sydney, Australia with the director Alex commenting: "I'm delighted to have found such overwhelming support here in New South Wales for such a unique film offering unparalleled exposure for NSW cast and crew to the cutting edge technology that will be used in the making of 'Paradise Lost'."

Meanwhile, Bradley is currently working on 'The Place Beyond The Pines' in Schenectady, New York where he will star as a rookie policeman alongside 'Love and Other Drugs' actor Ryan Gosling.

He said: "I'm just up here prepping. We've just been sort of hanging out with all the cops here and going on ride alongs and it's been incredible. It's pretty intense, it's definitely pretty intense. I'm very lucky to be able to do stuff like this. I was really just saying to my mother this morning, I'm like the luckiest guy in the world to be an actor, to be able to go into these others persons' professions and be able to walk in their shoes, so it's incredible. We went on a ride along until 11 pm last night."
