Brad Womack has sent Ashley Herbert home, leaving Chantal O'Brien and Emily Maynard to battle for his affections on 'The Bachelor'.

Ashley, 26, was in tears after she was told she was the next contestant to leave the ABC reality dating show - which is presented by Chris Harrison - after her South Africa date with Brad proved to be a disaster.

The pair struggled to find chemistry after Brad had to coax the terrified blonde onto a helicopter to get to a cliff-top picnic.

He later told her: "I really feel like we want the same things but we have a hard time communicating that."

"I am so sorry but I admit to you that I am completely shocked that a relationship I felt so strongly about went in such a different direction."

Meanwhile Chantal, 28, told the cameras that she had fallen for Brad after their desert safari tour date.

The beautiful brunette said: "Every time I spend time with Brad, I fall more and more in love with him."

"I really love Brad... I want to be a better person for him."

Emily also confessed her love for the gorgeous hunk over dinner, telling him: "I am ready for it to be over and for me to spend my life with you or whatever the case."
