Brad Pitt - Brad Pitt Won't Be Going 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea

Brad Pitt has dismissed rumours he will be re-teaming with director David Fincher in a new movie adaptation of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.

Fincher is currently working on bringing the classic Jules Verne book back to the big screen in a new production, which is rumoured to be filming in Australia, and reports suggested the moviemaker had tapped his three-times collaborator Pitt for the project.

However, the actor has now dismissed the story after being quizzed on the subject by reporters Down Under at the Sydney premiere of his zombie horror World War Z.

Pitt says of the 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea movie, "David Fincher is developing that and it's really good. I've seen the visuals but that's not me. I'm not coming (to Australia) for that.''

The actor teased that he would be moving Down Under for another film project, but refused to discuss the details, adding, "I'm coming for something... We (actors) are migratory workers, we go where it (the work) takes (us)."

Kirk Douglas and James Mason starred in a previous 1954 incarnation of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and Pitt has previously worked with Fincher on Seven, Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
