Brad Pitt On Santa Claus: "Why? Why? Why would you lie to me? Why?"
Brad Pitt's new film, Killing Them Softly, has seen him make the press rounds. And he's used these promo hours to talk about the things most important to him; gay marriage, equality and... Santa Claus?
"I'm not real big on the whole Santa thing," Pitt, 48, explained to E! News. "I thought it was a huge act of betrayal when I was a kid. I didn't like that. When I found out the truth, I was like, 'Why? Why? Why would you lie to me? Why?'" It appears Pitt's kids won't be privy to the balancing act that is Father Christmas's alleged existence. And for all you young scamps reading this; don't worry, we at Contact Music are all on our best behaviour, as we're sure he'll be popping down our chimneys with lovely presents come December 25th. "What I tell them is some people believe it's Santa, and some people believe it's parents, and you get to believe whatever you want," Pitt said. Bah Humbug.
The young Pitts (please, please start a band guys) are a busy bunch at the moment, as Pax, Zahara and Vivienne's enjoy cameos in Angelina Jolie's latest movie, Maleficent. "They'll be a part of the Disney tradition," Brad told Extra. "This is a story they know and love well, and their mommy's [the main character]. It's a big thing. They don't see it as anything beyond that, just playtime."
