Bowling For Columbine Terrified Manson
The movie which briefly turned MARILYN MANSON into a US hero left the shock rocker terrified about the state of America.
The singer/songwriter received plaudits for the intelligent thoughts he presented in Michael Moore's documentary Bowling For Columbine, but he was left shaken by the film when he saw it in the cinema.
He says, "I locked myself in an attic for three months and didn't want to talk to anybody because I was afraid I was going to get killed.
"I wanted a lot of answers and I didn't get them from it (the film)... It wasn't really there."
Manson only wishes Moore had used more of his interview in the film: "I talked to him for about two-and-a-half hours and a lot of stuff that he went to say on the second half of the documentary was stuff I said to him but it opened a window that reintroduced me to the world in a way that people hadn't really understood me before."
