Bosses At Drake/chris Brown Fight Club Hit With License Suspension
The fight resulted in a handful of injuries as bottles flew through the air and basketball star Tony Parker, who suffered an eye scratch in the fracas, has filed a $20 million (£12.5 million) lawsuit, accusing W.i.P.'s owners of being negligent.
And now the Soho club's bosses have been dealt another major blow - the State Liquor Authority has announced a crackdown on the place and its sister venue Greenhouse.
Chairman Dennis Rosen says, "The Sla will not tolerate violent bars that break the law."
Among the violations leading to the suspension: failing to stop the club brawl on 14 June (12), ongoing noise violations and two incidents in which marijuana was discovered on the premises.
Neither Drake nor Brown are considered suspects in the fight, which escalated after the two stars allegedly exchanged words after a bottle of champagne which was sent over to Drake's table by Brown was returned with a note.
