Borrell Found Fame 'Difficult'
RAZORLIGHT rocker JOHNNY BORRELL found it difficult dealing with his band's popularity after landing a record deal.
Frontman Borrell blames the release of 2004's UP ALL NIGHT and a non-stop promotional schedule for his "messed-up head", and admits success is something of a double-edged sword.
He says, "Before you get a record deal, you think that when you get signed, your problems will disappear. But then you realise that, far from curing everything, success is a big challenge in itself.
"I don't think it's uncommon for the attention you get on your first album to mess with your head a bit.
"You think you'll make a record and that's it, job done. What you don't realise is that when you make that record and then tell everyone it's brilliant, you have to go out every night and prove that it's brilliant."
