Bond Films Will Continue, Says Studio Boss

The boss of the movie studio where the BOND films are shot has assured fans there will be another outing for 007 - even though the next installment is currently on hold.
Producers of the as-yet-untitled 23rd movie had hoped for a release in 2011 or 2012 but have been forced to stall Daniel Craig's third turn as the superspy indefinitely due to uncertainty over the future of MGM.
The decision sparked fears among some fans that Bond has saved the world for the last time - but the boss of Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England, where most indoor scenes for the films are shot, has moved to end the speculation.
Chief executive Ivan Dunleavy says, "I am sure there will be another Bond movie in future."
He is also adamant the planned closure of the UK Film Council will not be the end of movie-making in Britain, adding: "That decision has been made and there are a number of functions that the UK Film Council performs and they will be ongoing."

We do try at SAVE THE BRITISH FILM INDUSTRY to explain the real facts and end confusion. Pinewood Studios DO NOT produce 007 nor any films. They are just landlords who rent out space to film makers. They have no say whatsoever where, when and if 007 is to be made. They just take the rent. Moreover, the company is a plc and the shares are now over 50% owned by property developers who want to sell the expensive land west of London for greater profit eg houses, car parks, supermarkets. There is a takeover share battle looming within months and Mr Dunleavy may soon be axed like any soccer manager can be axed. His thoughts on team selection and transfers are irrelevant. The UK Film Council are irrelevant. They only administered Lottery money which before them British screen Finance administered. UKFC had 92 staff, British Screen Finance had 15. British Screen Finance invested in far more hits with much less money. The key to 2000-2010 British magnet for Hollywood movies was the 34 sound stages at Pinewood and Shepperton. They may not exist in 2012. Meanwhile Pinewood have built sound stages in Malaysia, canada, Germany, Dominican Republic and soon China. It is probable 007 will still be made on sound stages at Pinewood just not in The UK. To end on a positive note, in our opinion the 007 owners EON and (whoever buys MGM from liquidation) should now give Vic Armstrong the chance to direct the best 007 James Bond movie ever made.Watch his genius showreel on Vic ARMSTRONG and you will agree.SAVE THE BRITISH FILM INDUSTRY have a plan to create 400 sound stages and 250 000 film jobs across The UK. The Government is listening and we may have a new golden age of British Film.
