Bon Jovi Eyes Country Record

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi is planning a move into country music by recording an album in Nashville, Tennessee.
The SLIPPERY WHEN WET singer and his BON JOVI bandmate Richie Sambora hope to tape the disc wIth veteran country musicians.
Bon Jovi tells the New York Post, "The change is in the music - it's time for change. KEEP THE FAITH was why we stayed relevant in the '90s. In 2000, we changed again when we did IT'S MY LIFE. That's when a new generation discovered us.
"We didn't plan any of that, it just happened. I can smell change coming again. I'm thinking of a Nashville sessions record. I'd like to knock out a quick record with a few country writers and artists and me and Richie.
"I'd like to get two or three artists to do duets with. I'd like to give a couple of Nashville songwriters a chance to shine, and Richie and I would write a few songs to prove we could hold our own with these guys."
Bon Jovi made history by becoming the first rock band to top the US country chart earlier this year (05), when their collaboration with SUGARLAND singer JENNIFER NETTLES, WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME, went to number one.

Come on does he really think the new crowd are Country & Western fans? It's not it's the offspring of the original fans. What a kick in the stomach. i have flown to other states to see him, BUT, Country & Western? NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UUUUMMMMM, the whole new crowd was the offspring of the original fans. I would never attend a Country & Western Venue. How silly is this whole thing????Who were the fans that stuck with you all these years???? It certainly was not Country & Western Music Fans. I'm probably never going to another show again.

This band is the very best. Known Jon since we were 18(when he was John). He's a wonderful person but please stay out of country music. No album .. No more songs with Nettles. You looked like a backup singer for her on Crossroads. This is not you. Bon Jovi is a rock band and it should stay that way. I loved "Who Says You Can't Go Home" sung by only Bon Jovi. I hated it as a duet. So listen up guys. Go to Nashville, record your CD, get it out of your system. There are too many of us who love the band as they are. Record another CD as the rock band you truely are. I have gone to 32 shows so far this tour and will end up, as always Jon, at the last show in Giants on the 29th. KTF as alway, but don't turn country. It's a big mistake. As alway, ME!
